Other Notes
Titanium has the distinction of being one of the few superheroes with a disability; she is deaf. It is possible that this is a result of her skin being titanium; sound may reflect off of her ears instead of being funneled into them. Also, not being able to hear one's own voice makes speaking difficult.
She also has a tragic story. Due to her short stature, she was teased and bullied relentlessly as a child and teen. Instead of growing a thick skin in the metaphoric sense, she grew a literally thick one.
She did have one solid relationship; the feeling was mutual. But then, just as things were looking up, they ill-advisedly decided to test if her skin was truly bulletproof-- by having him shoot at her.
They did not count on the bullet ricocheting off on her and back at him. He died almost instantly. They also did not count on his ghost then haunting her, as his life was not supposed to have ended at that age.
Driven by shame, guilt, and grief, she fled to an abandoned town. At least there, no one would taunt her, blame her... or come after her ghost, either.
She lives by breaking into the abandoned houses to forage for food; there is a freshwater reservoir nearby. By wearing rubber-tipped gloves she found, she can turn pages in the books she finds, and spends most of her time lost in stories; sometimes she reads to her ghost. While the electricity has been shut off to the town, some homes have generators; she gets gas for them by siphoning it from the tanks of abandoned cars.
Now, she lives in silence and isolation, kept company only by a ghost and her memories. But she prefers it to life in society, which has given her only pain of one sort or another.
