Other Notes

But it's a devil's bargain. First, Teddy can only travel at light speed backward! Second, he now has to travel back through time to do Jack's bidding. And Jack isn't always spot on as to where Teddy lands. Also, after he achieves Jack's objective, he has to muddle through the same time over again. The key moment may be Sheena's party. Teddy can sometimes affect his own situation (Jack is only at the throttle "more or less"). Our narrator tells someone that she had some good, lucky years, but needs to move on. We're not sure how that fits into Jack's plans. But we do hear the narrator telling her that, even if he pleads, don't help Teddy. This will only cause her to have to make a deal of her own... with Jack. |
