Other Notes
|
We think of powers as being proactive, but Young Blood is like a Medusa or basilisk of myth-- she just "stands there" and simply because of who she is, she causes effects in others. Like Jessica Rabbit, she isn't bad, she's just "drawn that way" and can't help how others react to her. Although she is well aware of it, and can switch it on "full power" when she wants.
This character is also dangerous because she is so young, and so unaware of how truly devastating her powers can be. Either she becomes more in control of it as she matures, or her power begins to control her, and she gets addicted to hurting people and so becomes a true supervillain. I saw a T-shirt once that said, "Let's face it: Crazy chicks are hot." Which means you can get burned just by being around them, or they can burn you on purpose. |
