Other Notes
The Thriller is a hideous alien beast, with hand-like appendages and more than enough eyes-- perhaps they are compound eyes, like an insect's.
It has enormous jaws and can engulf its prey in one bite. If you see it, you'll almost have a heart attack, and if it sees you, it can render you immobile with fear. You will still be able to hear it, however, which it seems to want you to be able to do, the better to scare you.
Perhaps able to hitch a ride on radiation aimed at a target-- a TV broadcast wavelength or light from a film projector-- it re-solidifies on screens, from which it then emerges. Disabling this beam, or its source, seems to be a viable defense.
Also, it seems to want its victims to be terrified before it consumes them; perhaps it considers adrenaline a necessary condiment to flesh. Ironically, this presents a weakness in The Thriller.
The mouth-watering adrenaline rush can be countered by the exposure of the would-be victim to something he or she deems an even MORE intense experience than even an attack by this predator. The mere sight of a loved one by the victim releases a rush of calming and happy-making hormones that The Thriller finds unappetizing. If something can thrill the victim more than The Thriller, it loses interest and moves on.
The emergence of The Thriller seems to allow other beings to follow its lead. Once it appears, demons begin emerging from other screens. Also, nocturnal animals being to make noises that waken the dead as zombies. So, even once The Thriller has been made to abandon its hunt, there are still other... issues to be dealt with.
