Other Notes
The comedian Steve Martin dedicated his book Cruel Shoes to his fans, "without whom I would only be myself." The God of Thunder takes this idea to the opposite extreme; with his fans/worshippers, he is so much more than himself as to be a god.
But he is only as powerful as the number of worshippers he has, and the strength of their conviction. Without their constant outpouring of loyalty, he becomes weak.
To gain attention and make others fear him, he can make music, and also thunder (just noise, not actual lightning) and bring darkness (but he can't create light). He is also as much stronger than normal humans as steel is over muscle, but would lose in a fight to the actual Man of Steel, as Superman has so many other powers.
God of Thunder also can make people lose their souls; he doesn't keep these, but replaces them with worship of himself. And this only works on those who have never known true intimacy; once you have been vulnerable with someone else and then learned how to regain your emotional independence afterward, his charms are too weak to work on you.
(The analogy to celebrity is clear-- you are a "star" only if people say you are, and you are only "famous" if people know who you are. So, too, a deity is very powerful if people believe in it, not so much if not. As of this writing Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, is admired by more people than the number worship Thor, the original God of Thunder, himself.)
