Other Notes
The Temptation is an exceedingly powerful personage, capable of manipulating the weather, matter, energy, and time. Yet, he may never use these powers at all, let alone use them for good or to defeat evil.
Why not? Because they have been unsuccessful in winning him the affection of the one woman he loves. So what's the point? Why bother?
It may be that he has only performed these powers to her, which left her cold. Perhaps she felt someone so powerful would tire of her. Perhaps she felt stalked. Or perhaps she felt that he should talk to her, get to know her, find out what she likes and wants.
In any case, perhaps if he did save some people-- stop some wars, halt some natural disasters, or even just catch a purse-snatcher-- she'd see he is a person, not just a collection of powers. Or he could, you know, just ask her out to dinner.
Until then, he's stuck in a loop-- The powers should impress her. But they don't. But they should! But they don't...
