Other Notes

To lure men, she hangs around places of sanctioned violence, like boxing rings and MMA arenas. She then alluringly challenges the men around to fight her. Only certain men would take a woman up on this.
They are punished for their willingness to hit women by being strangled, then consumed, bit by bit, by The Shaker.
In order to process this... material as fuel, The Shaker "eats" part of her victims, and "digests" them by shaking the pieces in her "stomach" (not unlike the paint shakers used to mix colors in cans) until these pieces are liquid. She then cools this liquid (all that friction makes it too hot to use) and uses it to fuel her various functions. She then self-cleans.
This also has the side benefits of making the victims' bodies disappear, leaving no evidence, and providing her an endless supply of fuel.
There are only two drawbacks. The process of consuming an entire body takes "all night long," and is itself energy-sapping. It also calls attention to itself-- the tremors she generates leave cracks in the walls and floors of any building she uses, and cannot be quiet. It is possible that The Shaker was designed by a victim of male violence. If so, she was loosed upon the world to punish the sort of men who, offered the chance to hit a woman, would. |
