Other Notes
Tiger Eye likes to get into fights. He like starting them, joining them, finishing them... and then looking for his next one. He is not hesitant to kill to win.
One fight, possibly with a tiger (he does like a challenge), he amazingly won... but at the cost of an eye. Without thinking-- which is his usual M.O.-- he tore out his damaged eye and replaced it with one he ripped from the tiger.
His new eye presented some benefits. Through it, he can see in the dark as well as a cat, needing only 1/6 of the light a human would need; he can even see UV light. He is able to track multiple targets at once (cats see 200 degrees around, instead of the human 180), and needs to blink less.
However, that same eye is very nearsighted, and easily blinded by bright lights. Therefore, he prefers to fight up close, and in the dark.
The tiger eye also imparted some tiger DNA. He can leap and stay aloft so that he appears to levitate. When falling, or thrown by an opponent, he always lands on his feet. It also increased his endurance, made him even more aggressive and keen to survive. Also like a tiger, he prefers warmer climates.
Another downside is that he has only one tiger eye. Because he sees so differently with them (cats also see colors less vividly), he has a slow reaction time and hand-eye coordination. He makes up for that with sheer aggression in his attacks.
One odd side-effect is that he hits others so hard, he shakes old dreams loose from their subconscious minds. The sudden recollection, and distraction, of this surreal imagery puts his opponents at a severe disadvantage. However, some enjoy this sensation and pick fights with Tiger Eye just to experience it! It's a service he is happy to provide.
Before his fateful tiger fight, Tiger Eye's endless pugilism landed him in prison. Now free, he has zero intention of going back.
He does kill and eat animals he finds in the alleys-- his constant prowling leaves him always hungry-- but also gambles for money to buy necessities. Adrenaline junkie that he is, he prefers games with terrible odds.
Tiger Eye thrives on being a hunter and fighting for his survival at every moment. While his "lifestyle" may kill him, anything less would bore him to death.
